Scotty ATL is one of our favorite young rappers coming out of the South, that’s why we teamed with him last year for the Scion AV Presents: OTR2SJ EP. The six-song release is still available for free streaming and download.
As you probably gathered from his name, Scotty is from Atlanta and he represents the city well. He made a name for himself as part of “The New Atlanta” with a string of well-regarded mixtapes including F.A.I.T.H. and Summer Dreams. His output and talent has gotten the attention of local veterans, including Killer Mike, who appeared in the song and video for the OTR2SJ cut “Pray Alone.” In that video you can see the real Atlanta that Scotty comes from. He’s also developed a close collaborative relationship with producer DJ Burn One to develop a defined approach to rap music. We hope and expect even more greatness from him in the future.
